Netflix Announce Cobra Kai Season 6 In Production

All good things must come to an end and today Netflix announced Cobra Kai Season 6 is now in the production.

Like many films, television and streaming was affected by the recent writers strikes. Hardcore fans of the series will be delighted the production to the final season has finally kicked off. Show creator John Hurwitz via Twitter/X (source: Variety) said things would start after the strike “We hate to strike, but if we must, we strike hard. Pencils down in the Cobra Kai writers room. No writers on set. These aren’t fun times, but it’s unfortunately necessary. The moment a fair deal is in place, we’ll get back to kicking ass. In the meantime, sending strength and to the negotiating committee. You got this.”

Ralph Macchio and William Zabka return as Daniel and Johnny. Cobra Kai takes place over 30 years after the events of the 1984 All Valley Karate Tournament with the continuation of the inescapable conflict between Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) and Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka).

Written and executive produced by Josh Heald, Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg via their production company, Counterbalance Entertainment. Will Smith, James Lassiter and Caleeb Pinkett executive produce for Westbrook Entertainment along with Susan Ekins in association with Sony Pictures Television. Ralph Macchio and William Zabka also serve as executive producers.
