Miles Ahead Gets ‘Typographic’ In New Poster

Next Friday (22nd April) Don Cheadle‘s Miles Ahead will be released in UK cinemas and ahead of it’s release Icon Film Distribution have sent us a new ‘Typographic’ Poster, check it out..
As a one time Graphic designer, I really like this poster. It’s very reminiscent of posters, the artwork of the Jazz musicians of the era like Miles Davis. The poster itself is amazingly created using quotes from musicians inspired by Miles Davis, vibrant, fast paced very chaotic much like Davis life. As the great man said “Don’t call it Jazz man…It’s some made up word, it’s social music”
In Miles Ahead All Rolling Stone reporter Dave Braden (Ewan McGregor) wants is an exclusive interview with the jazz legend himself, Miles Davis (Don Cheadle). What he gets instead is a wild and dangerous ride-along with a recording artist living at his edge, rife with shootouts, car-chases, and a tale of lost love to the singer s (Emayatzy Corinealdi).
Really looking forward to this film especially as Jazz inspired my design thought process in late 1990s early 2000s, plus we are big fans of Cheadle himself. He is one of those actors who is talented actor but sometimes under used or appreciated – “if you’re gonna tell a story come with some attitude man!“.
