Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain will be released worldwide September 1. That’s according to a video discovered on an IGN Italian by NeoGaf. Series creator Hideo Kojima can be seen in the video announcing the launch date of the highly anticipated title. The video has since been removed from the website by IGN Italia.

Konami had put up a teaser on the game’s website to promote an announcement which is due to take place 2pm GMT March 4.

Speaking through a translator, Kojima says that Kojima Productions is “putting the finishing touches” on The Phantom Pain. The game is planned for release on Playstation 3, Playstation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and Windows PC.

We’ve reached out to Konami for comment. Stay tuned.
