When the news was broke that 35 years after Ridley Scott‘s Blade Runner was released a sigh of skepticism was heard. Should they make a new chapter to a much loved cult sci-fi, but after Denis Villeneuve was announced as director and the trailers teased our senses to unbearable exciting levels we’re onboard. Today Sony Pictures UK  has sent us the latest piece of promotion, a colourful new poster which shows off the movies main characters…

After yesterday’s latest TV Spot which highlighted the visual aesthetic for the movie, it teased some possible ideas on Jared Leto and Dave Bautista‘s characters. It seems Leto’s character is been treated like ‘hero’ solving food crisis with modified food, enhancing genetic engineering concerns today in reality concern many of us.

Thirty years after the events of the first film, a new blade runner, LAPD Officer K (Ryan Gosling), unearths a long-buried secret that has the potential to plunge what’s left of society into chaos. K’s discovery leads him on a quest to find Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford), a former LAPD blade runner who has been missing for 30 years.

Blade Runner 2049 also stars Ana de Armas, Robin Wright, Jared Leto, Barkhad Abdi, Lennie James, Mackenzie Davis, and Sylvia Hoeks. The movie will also arrive in the UK, Ireland, and USA from 6th October.
