Materialists Trailer: Dakota Johnson, Chris Evans And Pedro Pascal In Celine Song’s Latest
A24 has today unveiled the first trailer for its anticipated new romantic drama Materialists, which you can watch below!
Written and directed by Celine Song, who won countless awards for her 2023 romantic drama Past Lives – which earned Oscar nominations for Best Picture and Best Original Screenplay – her new film stars Dakota Johnson (Daddio, Madame Web), Chris Evans (Red One, Avengers: Endgame), and Pedro Pascal (The Fantastic Four: First Steps, The Last Of Us). Distributed by Sony, the studio ended up acquiring multiple international territories from A24 in a reported eight-figure deal.
Johnson plays “an ambitious, successful professional New York City matchmaker named Lucy who finds herself torn between two men — one a wealthy perfect match (Pascal) who Lucy calls “a unicorn, an impossible fantasy,” and the other her imperfect ex (Evans), a struggling actor-waiter who she runs into again catering one of her fancy events.”
Materialists is set to release in US cinemas on June 13th with a UK release date mooted for the same day Sony Pictures Releasing UK still TBA.
