Liev Schreiber to play Chuck Wepner?
ShareMTV recently had a chat with actor Liev Schreiber and revealed he got hold of Devil and Daniel Johnston director Jeff Feurezeig and nabbed him to work on his next project , a biopic based on Chuck Wepner.
You may ask who Chuck Wepner is? Chuck was a heavyweight boxer that inspired Sylvester Stallone’s Rocky Balboa character and Schreiber wants to get Chuck’s story to the big screen quickly as possible. When ask about Chuck Wepner Leiv described the boxer’s life as “hilarious and remarkable”.
1975 Wepner fought Muhammed Ali which opened the American eyes up to him and you can say that infamous fight was what helped Stallone create Rocky.In that fight he took the ultimate boxing icon to 15th round and through his career he tabled 35 wins, 17 which were knockouts and only 14 defeats.
“I’ve been a survivor my whole life… If I survived the Marines, I can survive Ali,” stated Wepner
You could easily see Stallone as a boxer due to his build but Schreiber i’m a bit unsure though I think he had to build a bit of muscle for Wolverine movie, so do you see Schreiber as a boxer?
