The wait is over Nintendo fans, Super Mario Bros, Movie first UK Trailer has been released, Let’s-a-go!

Gossip on a potential Super Mario Bros film has been on the cards for a long time. Be it live action or the final choice animation, the talk of another film has risen a few eyebrows. What has gotten cinephiles talking after watching the trailer is Chris Pratt‘s accent as Mario.

Ever since Pratt was chosen to voice the iconic character, illumination CEO Chris Meledandri defending the choice. Essentially this is not a live action film but an animation and Pratt is attempting to capture the spirit of Mario. Meledandri asking us to judge Pratt’s overall performance after we see the film.

When it comes to the actual plot for the film we don’t know yet. What today’s trailer does do, see our hero head into Mushroom Kingdom. We do get a glimpse of Browser who seems to be on a warpath with penguins his victims.

The film stars Chris Pratt as Mario, Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach, Charlie Day as Luigi, Jack Black as Bowser, Keegan-Michael Key as Toad, Seth Rogen as Donkey Kong, Fred Armisen as Cranky Kong, Kevin Michael Richardson as Kamek and Sebastian Maniscalco as Spike.
