Hulu has released the first trailer for their documentary Last Take, which comes to the streamer next month, and you can watch it below.
The doc tells the story of Halyna Hutchins, the acclaimed cinematographer who was killed on the set of Rust, a 2021 Western film that starred Alec Baldwin. It tells of the incident itself, the film set, and the aftermath which saw a huge investigation into her death and much more around it.
On the set one day, star Baldwin fired what he thought was a cold gun but had an actual live round in it that killed Hutchins and injured director Joel Souza.
Last Take: Rust and the Story of Halyna will feature emotional conversations with Rust director Joel Souza, camera assistant Lane Luper, costume designer Terese Davis, and the film’s new cinematographer Bianca Cline talking about the day of Hutchins’ death and the aftermath. The documentary revisits the death of Hutchins and shines a light on the cinematographer and the human toll that the tragedy took on those around her.
