Kristen Stewart Dives Into Danger In Underwater First Trailer

Underwater

Kristen Stewart‘s career has been on the up since her Twilight Saga days. Taking mostly the Arthouse/Indie route, for her next film she dives into danger with Underwater. The 20th Century Fox Pictures sea-based horror go from vampires, ghosts and now sea monsters!

“You are now 5,000 miles from land and you are descending seven miles to the bottom of the ocean.”

Stewart stars as Norah who leads a group of researchers underwater. After an earthquake strikes the group’s lab, they must escape to the surface. But things get sinister when they realise they are not alone which follows them as they escape.

There’s many oceans in the world we don’t know much about. Some so deep, some full of natural resources that tease our curiosities. There’s also talk there’s things down there we don’t know about. Lurking in the depths questioning if we should be drilling down there. As we see in the trailer the team don’t know what came out, giant squid? Some nightmarish Lovecraftian creature? Even a alien?

This looks like The Descent/Alien in water, even Armageddon, Abyss all flicks with exciting, terrifying. It’s been in the can since 2017, just hope that is not a worrying sign, just victim of the Disney takeover. Finally getting it’s turn on the big screen when many others aren’t.
