Kate Winslet Set To Direct And Star In Netflix Drama Goodbye June

Kate Winslet will be making her much anticipated directorial debut with the family drama Goodbye June, which is set to be released by Netflix.

The film will also see Winslet undertaking producing duties as well as leading the cast which includes the likes of Helen Mirren (The Queen), Toni Collette (Hereditary), Johnny Flynn (Emma), Andrea Riseborough (To Leslie) and Timothy Spall (Mr. Turner).

The initial synopsis for the film is as follows: ‘Set in present-day England, the movie revolves around a fractured group of siblings who pull together under sudden and trying circumstances.’

The screenplay for the film was written by Winslet’s son Joe Anders who previously worked alongside his mother in the 2023 biopic Lee. The film is a Working Title production, who are set to serve as executive producers whilst Kate Solomon will act as producer on the film with Winslet.

Goodbye June is expected to start production later this year in the UK.
