Kate Beckinsale Has ‘Rage’ In First Look At Actioner Jolt

If you are a big fan of female fronted action films, you have the likes starring Karen Gillian, Mary Elizabeth Winstead about to show the boys they can kick ass in action films. Next month they will be ed by Kate Beckinsale who is no stranger to the genre (Underworld films) with action thriller Jolt.

She’s set to play Lindy a lovely, funny woman face value, under the skin she has a rare neurological disorder. that makes her experience sporadic rage-filled, murderous impulses!

Amazon Studios have sent us over some first look images and with the release date only a few weeks away, I can safely say the trailer will be incoming…

Lindy is a beautiful, sardonically-funny woman with a painful secret: Due to a lifelong, rare neurological disorder, she experiences sporadic rage-filled, murderous impulses that can only be stopped when she shocks herself with a special electrode device. Unable to find love and connection in a world that fears her bizarre condition, she finally trusts a man long enough to fall in love, only to find him murdered the next day. Heartbroken and enraged, she embarks on a revenge-filled mission to find his killer, while also being pursued by the police as the crime’s prime suspect.

The film also stars Bobby Cannavale, Jai Courtney, Laverne Cox, David Bradley, Ori Pfeffer, Susan Sarandon, and Stanley Tucci. With Tanya Wexler (Hysteria) directing this one.

Jolt will be exclusively launched on Amazon Prime Video from 23rd July.
