Jim Cumming’s The Beta Test Coming To ARROW In March!

The Beta Test

Anyone who knows we’re massive fans of  Jim Cummings films especially Thunder Road.  Late last year his latest film the darkly tinged thriller The Beta Test was released in the UK.  If you missed the limited cinema release, Arrow have announced the film is heading to their Streaming channel

Cummings plays a married Hollywood agent receives a mysterious letter for an anonymous sexual encounter and becomes ensnared in a sinister world of lying, murder and infidelity in this scintillating satire.

The film made it’s UK premiere at Edinburgh Film Festival last year. Our writer Freda Cooper watched the film ,saying “Fans of his work won’t be disappointed. Newbies will have the thrill that goes with discovering something special“.

This looks an unclassifiable and massively entertaining, skewering a post-Weinstein panicking Hollywood with tremendously enjoyable glee.

Shortly before his wedding, ruthless talent agent, Jordan (Jim Cummings) receives a mysterious envelope offering no-strings-attached sex with a stranger in a hotel room. Initially amused, then intrigued, he becomes obsessed by the idea of a secret erotic adventure and impulsively accepts. But will he regret his choices when his meticulous, superficial world threatens to collapse under the weight of his burgeoning lies?

Following its world premiere at Berlin International Film Festival and screenings at Edinburgh International Film Festival and Tribeca Film Festival, The Beta Test finds rising star Jim Cummings at his acerbic best as he once again skewers the ego of a man on the edge of disaster and the society around him.

The film also includes  Virginia Newcomb, Kevin Changaris, Olivia Grace Applegate, Jessie Barr, Malin Barr, and Christian Hillborg.

The Beta Test will premiere on ARROW from 11th March.
