Jesse Armstrong’s Directorial Debut To Star Steve Carell & Jason Schwartzman
Sky will debut an exclusive film in th UK and Ireland with HBO in USA

Nearly two years after Succession ended Jesse Armstrong is set to make his feature directorial debut for SKY. The film will star Steve Carell, Jason Schwartzman, Cory Michael Smith, and Ramy Youssef.
Sky will debut an exclusive film, which Armstrong will also write and executive produce this spring. Production on the film begins this month in Park City, Utah.
We don’t know much about the film just yet. Sky gave us the logline and looking at it the world’s financial troubles will take centre stage along with greed and ambition – “A group of billionaire friends get together against the backdrop of a rolling international crisis“.
Jason Schwartzman as Hugo Van Yalk, Cory Michael Smith as Venis and Ramy Youssef as Jeff. Who exactly each of the characters are and importance to the story, we don’t know yet.
Jesse Armstrong, also commented : “I’m intrigued to discover whether being around so many brilliant actors and directors on ‘Succession’ has in any way rubbed off on me. Let’s hope so. I’m grateful to Casey Bloys, sca Orsi and the whole HBO team for backing this film so wholeheartedly and helping me pull together a dream team of cast and crew.”
We still don’t know what Jesse Armstrong‘s film will be called yet or when Sky plan to release it. He will also be the executive producer along with Frank Rich, Lucy Prebble, Jon Brown, Tony Roche, Will Tracy, Mark Mylod, and Jill Footlick.
