“Who’s The Daddy?” is the question Katherine Ryan is asked and Netflix have released the Official Trailer for her series The Duchess.
Fresh off her Netflix special In Trouble, the comedian has now come up with an idea based on her life. As a fabulous single mum living in London and next month the first Season will premiere on the channel
The series will follow Katherine as she debates if she should have a second child with her estranged and troubled baby daddy. It is meant to be a Catastrophe-like single-cam comedy set in London.
I’m not going to pretend, I don’t know a lot about Ryan apart from I do know she does live in London. There’s very few stand up comedians I enjoy or actually know, it’s a personal preference. This is an semi-autobiography so fans of the comic should enjoy this one
An authentic extension of Katherine’s stand-up comedian stage persona, The Duchess explores the unique world view of a fashionably disruptive all-round bad person whose redeeming quality is that she’ll sacrifice everything to be a good parent.
Olive is the love of Katherine’s life, and The Duchess wonderfully illuminates the intricacies of very modern and celebrated single motherhood in London.
The series also stars Rory Keenan.
The Duchess will launch on Netflix on 11th September 2020.
