“I Have Found The Source Of All Creation”, First TV Spot For The Master
It might be a few months away until it arrives in UK&Ireland but September will see the release of Paul Thomas Anderson’s The Master is only 2 weeks away from it’s American release and we have the films first tv spot.
Philip Seymour Hoffman plays charismatic cult leader Lancaster Dodd with the help of his wife Mary Sue (Amy Adams) spreading their ‘teachings’ across 1950’s America with their new found religion. Joaquin Phoenix also stars as Freddie an ex-soldier now drifter traumatised from World War 2 is manipulated to become Lancaster’s right hand man but over time he starts to question that ‘religion’.
The new tv spot certainly keeps with the tone of the film, what we’ve seen already from previous trailers & clips, the new spot shows Lancaster claiming he has unlocked the truth behind the nature of us humans. He’s overly enthusiastic he has found that source of all creation but how is everyone else, if their damaged probably they will too!. Overall The Master looks a beautifully shot, great broody soundtrack from PT Anderson regular Jonny Greenwood of Radiohead fame, if you think the word from Stateside is a bit crazy just wait till it’s on general release it will be even higher!
The Master will be arriving November 9th (September 14th USA) in UK&Ireland so there could be one more trailer, the film stars Laura Dern, David Warshofsky, Rami Malek, Jesse Plemons, Madisen Beaty, Joshua Close and Fiona Dourif.
