The Weeknd & Jenna Ortega Want Tomorrow To Hurry Up In New Trailer

Jenna Ortega and The Weeknd star in the new film

Lionsgate has unveiled a new trailer for their anticipated new thriller Hurry Up Tomorrow, and you can watch it below!

From acclaimed filmmaker Trey Edward Schults (Waves, It Comes At Night), Hurry Up Tomorrow is a psychological thriller that stars The Weeknd (Abel Tesfaye) playing himself and Jenna Ortega (Death of a Unicorn) as a fan of the artist. Tesfaye, Schults, and Reza Fahim co-wrote the script.

Schults is a filmmaker who has become one of Hollywood’s most underrated filmmakers: in 2019, he wrote and directed Waves, which followed his previous film, It Comes At Night, which debuted in 2017. His debut in 2015 was the acclaimed Krisha, which won both the Grand Jury Award and Audience Award in the narrative feature competition at the 2015  SXSW Film Festival.

Here’s the film’s official synopsis:

A musician plagued by insomnia is pulled into an odyssey with a stranger who begins to unravel the very core of his existence.

Ortega and Keoghan have busy schedules too: Ortega has the second season of Wednesday on the horizon, as well as  Klara And The Sun, co-starring with Amy Adams. Meanwhile, Keoghan is busy preparing for his role as Ringo Starr in Sam Mendes’ Beatles films (all four of them) and will soon be seen in The Immortal Man, the first Peaky Blinders feature film.

Hurry Up Tomorrow is set for release on May 16th.
