Hereditary Second Trailer Creeps You With ‘Charlie’

Hereditary

There’s nothing more creepy and disturbing than a peculiar child in a horror film. EFD has released a second UK Trailer for Hereditary that introduces Charlie (Milly Shapiro). The nightmarish Daughter of the Graham family, is she a Damien type character? Or she more Danny ala The Shining?

Whatever Charlie is or may have this trailer does a nice job of a girl with special powers. Witchcraft or psychic? She does seem to have a deeper connection with her recently deceased grandmother, was she a witch or a dweller of the black arts?

Charlie is one creepy child will cause hell for anyone who crosses her path, could that include other family ?

Since it’s debut at this year’s Sundance Film Festival, Ari Aster‘s debut directorial feature hype and buzz has been unbelievable. When critics are calling the films ‘A new generations The Exorcist‘, you know you’re on to something truly special.

When Ellen, the matriarch of the Graham family, es away, her daughter Annie (Toni Colette) and her husband (Gabriel Byrne) and their two children begin to unravel cryptic and increasingly terrifying secrets about their ancestry. The more they discover, the more they find themselves trying to outrun the sinister fate they seem to have inherited. Making his feature debut, writer-director Ari Aster unleashes a nightmare vision of a domestic breakdown that exhibits the craft and precision of a nascent auteur, transforming a familial tragedy into something ominous and deeply disquieting, and pushing the horror movie into chilling new terrain with its shattering portrait of heritage gone to hell.
