In a world on a potential brink In a new poster for Bridge Of Spies, it’s Hanks over troubled waters as we go back to a era when a honest man is the difference between war and peace.
Directed by Steven Spielberg, Bridge Of Spies is a dramatic thriller which tells the story of James Donovan (played by Tom Hanks), a Brooklyn insurance claims lawyer who finds himself thrust into the centre of the Cold War when the CIA sends him on the near-impossible task to negotiate the release of a captured American U-2 pilot.
Whilst poster shows Tom Hanks head over a bridge but as this film is based around a true story, the actual bridge is the symbol of the film as it was in history.The actual name is Glienicke Bridge a symbol of cold war and Bridge Of Spies or Bridge Of Unity was it’s nickname during the cold war. It connected then East and West , and the towns of Wannsee, Potsdam a exchange point for Russian & Western prisoners.

Bridge of Spies arrives in UK on 6th November (16th October USA) co-starring Mark Rylance, Amy Ryan, Sebastian Koch, and Alan Alda. Joel and Ethan Coen wrote the script the film which was originally based on a script by Matt Charman.
