First Look At Guillermo Del Toro’s PACIFIC RIM Comic Con Poster
In the run up to their this Saturday 14th July at Comic Con, we have a first Look At Guillermo Del Toro’s PACIFIC RIM amazing new teaser poster. The new poster gives us our first look at the Jaegers, the giant robots which are controlled by the humans against the invading monsters from outer space. There is 2 pilots(possibly Charlie Hunnam and Rinko Kikuchi) on its right shoulder which give an idea of the scale of the robots plus it slightly answers a question will robots look like something straight out of a Gundam Wing episode? Once we get the full images which maybe be shown off at Comic Con then we can answer the question fully. How ironic that Del Toro will be sharing the Warner Bros room with Peter Jackson with The Hobbit?!
Pacific Rim also stars Idris Elba, Max Martini, Rob Kazinsky, Clifton Collins Jr and Diego Klattenhof with the film arriving July 12th, 2013 almost 1 year from now. If your heading to the Comic Con Pacific Rim part will kick off around 2.30pm local time.
When legions of monstrous creatures, known as Kaiju, started rising from the sea, a war began that would take millions of lives and consume humanity’s resources for years on end. To combat the giant Kaiju, a special type of weapon was devised: massive robots, called Jaegers, which are controlled simultaneously by two pilots whose minds are locked in a neural bridge. But even the Jaegers are proving nearly defenseless in the face of the relentless Kaiju. On the verge of defeat, the forces defending mankind have no choice but to turn to two unlikely heroes—a washed up former pilot (Charlie Hunnam) and an untested trainee (Rinko Kikuchi)—who are teamed to drive a legendary but seemingly obsolete Jaeger from the past. Together, they stand as mankind’s last hope against the mounting apocalypse.
