Get ‘Fast & Furious’ With Justin Lin’s Help Short Film

After 4 Fast & Furious films which delivered some of the most outragous unbelievable stunts, what came next but before Star Trek Beyond for Justin Lin? Thanks to a phonecall from Google who asked the filmmaker to deliver a short film which he had full creative control and today we can check out Help.
Help is part of Google’s 360 Spotlight Project, films made to expose the true power of their recently released mobile phone app. Lin is one filmmaker who’ll push any film to its maximum ability and when you watch the 5 minute film, you can this app is opening up the door to not just feature film but documentaries and news stories too.
Help is apparently the project’s first live action film and when you watch the film, it may lack a narrative, looking a bit like a computer game. However the action certainly makes up especially as you get an 360 degree perspective delivering something much more innovative and immersive. This film reminds us of those 1990s arcade games now modernised for 21st century.
Help is an adrenaline-fuelled adventure which takes place in the middle of downtown Los Angeles, where a meteor shower has left a deep scar on the streets of Chinatown. Panic, fear and an alien sends a young woman scrambling to escape.
The story is simple and when your trialling new technology you don’t have to be an expert to know keep things simply whilst pushing the technology to it’s limits is best. If you can get VR viewer like Google’s Cardboard it rhelp the cause too however there is one downside especially if what your viewing the film doesn’t . This was shot in 4K cameras, so for a 5 minute film it’s nearly 500mb! So before you watch let it load a little then enjoy!
