Everyone loves to be scary every so often and later this month it’s Ethan Hawke‘s time. After delays thanks to the pandemic, Universal Pictures will finally released The Black Phone. Ethan Hawke introduces the new promo himself explaining his creepy character known as The Grabber. Hawke is no stranger to playing villainous characters and as he explains in this promo, it was the right time to go back to the dark side…

Director Scott Derrickson returns to his terror roots and partners again with the foremost brand in the genre, Blumhouse, with a new horror thriller.

Finney Shaw, a shy but clever 13-year-old boy, is abducted by a sadistic killer and trapped in a soundproof basement where screaming is of little use. When a disconnected phone on the wall begins to ring, Finney discovers that he can hear the voices of the killer’s previous victims. And they are dead set on making sure that what happened to them doesn’t happen to Finney.

The film also co- stars Jeremy Davies, Madeleine McGraw, J. Gaven Wilde, James Ransone, and E. Roger Mitchell.

The Black Phone  will be ‘taking calls’ in UK, Irish and U.S Cinemas from 24th June.
