Next month Joe Wright‘s Cyrano will be in UK cinemas. We’ve not heard much about the film apart from one Trailer a couple of months ago, today Universal Pictures have sent us a new Behind the scenes Featurette.
The original story is based on the story of Cyrano De Bergerac considered one of the greatest love stories ever told. The Titular chracter is played by Peter Dinklage one of the greatest wordsmiths of his era. A man caught in a love triangle with Kelvin Harrison Jr vowing for the love of Roxanne ( Hayley Bennett). Despite his talents for words he is unable to tell her of his love for her and instead helps Christian to win her heart thanks to letters.

Award-winning director Joe Wright envelops moviegoers in a symphony of emotions with music, romance, and beauty in Cyrano, re-imagining the timeless tale of a heartbreaking love triangle. A man ahead of his time, Cyrano de Bergerac (played by Peter Dinklage) dazzles whether with ferocious wordplay at a verbal joust or with brilliant swordplay in a duel. But, convinced that his appearance renders him unworthy of the love of a devoted friend, the luminous Roxanne (Haley Bennett), Cyrano has yet to declare his feelings for her — and Roxanne has fallen in love, at first sight, with Christian (Kelvin Harrison, Jr.).
The film also stars Ben Mendelsohn and Bashir Salahuddin. Cyrano will be released in the UK and Irish cinemas from Friday 14th January 2022. (MGM are releasing the film in the U.S on 31st December).
