This coming Wednesday 13th October, Christian Schwochow‘s pre-world War II drama Munich – The Edge Of War will make it’s world premiere at BFI London Film Festival.

The film is set for release on Netflix in 2022, today the streaming giants have sent us several First Look Images from the film.

The film stars George MacKay, Jannis Niewöhner, Jeremy Irons and Sandra Hüller. Based on the bestselling book by Robert Harris. We find ourselves in 1938, Hilter is ready to invade Czechoslovakia and Europe on the brink of war. Neville Chamberlin’s seek a peaceful solution which sees two civil servants attempting to prevent war…At what cost?

Based on the international bestseller by Robert Harris. It is Autumn 1938 and Europe stands on the brink of war. Adolf Hitler is preparing to invade Czechoslovakia and Neville Chamberlain’s government desperately seeks a peaceful solution. With the pressure building, Hugh Legat, British civil servant, and Paul von Hartmann, German diplomat, travel to Munich for the emergency Conference. As negotiations begin, the two old friends find themselves at the centre of a web of political subterfuge and very real danger. With the whole world watching, can war be averted and, if so, at what cost?

Munich – The Edge Of War will be released in select cinemas in early January and on Netflix on 21st January 2022.
