First Look At Jason Momoa In Apple TV+ Chief Of War

Jason Momoa this coming Friday might be showing his ‘softer’ fun side in Minecraft. We do know he loves his warrior roles like in Chief Of War, Apple TV+ unveiled a first look at the series.
The epic new historical drama starring, sees Momoa write the script and executive produced. It’s Set amidst the beautiful backdrop of the islands of Hawai’i, the nine-episode series based on true events, follows warrior Ka’iana, (portrayed by Momoa), as he tries to unify the islands before Western colonization in the late 18th century.
Co-created with Thomas Pa’a Sibbett who shares Hawaiian heritage with Momoa. Check out the first look image below…
Performed by a predominantly Polynesian cast led by Momoa, “Chief of War” follows the epic and unprecedented telling of the unification and colonization of Hawai’i at the turn of the 18th century.
The ensemble cast includesTemuera Morrison, Te Ao o Hinepehinga, Cliff Curtis, newcomer Kaina Makua, Moses Goods, Siua Ikale’o, Brandon Finn, James Udom, Mainei Kinimaka and Te Kohe Tuhaka.
Chief Of War will make its global debut on Apple TV+ with the first two episodes on Friday, 1st August. Jason Momoa will be next seen in Minecraft which will be in UK and Irish cinemas Friday 4th April.
