Once again, cinema will take us into the centre of one of nature’s most wondrous and destructive forces. The 1996 version was a epic popcorn fodder blockbuster, most of all an highly entertaining film.

Twisters is the epic studio disaster movie returning with a new generation. With the cast led by Daisy Edgar-Jones, Glen Powell with Anthony Ramos and Lee Isaac-Chung (Minari) directing.

Technology is now improved, the dangers are still big, a former chaser (Edgar-Jones) lured back into the game by a friend. They cross paths with a social media superstar (Powell) that takes them deeper into the danger.

Edgar-Jones stars as Kate Cooper, a former storm chaser haunted by a devastating encounter with a tornado during her college years who now studies storm patterns on screens safely in New York City. She is lured back to the open plains by her friend, Javi to test a groundbreaking new tracking system. There, she crosses paths with Tyler Owens (Powell), the charming and reckless social-media superstar who thrives on posting his storm-chasing adventures with his raucous crew, the more dangerous the better.

As storm season intensifies, terrifying phenomena never seen before are unleashed, and Kate, Tyler and their competing teams find themselves squarely in the paths of multiple storm systems converging over central Oklahoma in the fight of their lives.

The rest of the cast ing ‘the ride’ will be Brandon Perea, David Corenswet, Sasha Lane, Daryl McCormack, Kiernan Shipka, Manini Gupta Nik Dodani, and Maura Tierney.

Twisters will arrive in UK and Irish Cinemas from Warner Bros Pictures on 19th July. In the U.S it will be Universal Pictures with the film releasing the same day.
