Eastwood,Cage,Ford,Snipes Wanted For The Expendables 3

Never expect the unexpected and this morning a sea of positive reviews for this week’s The Expendables 2 arrived on the internet a film that many believed would be destroyed by the critics.This Thursday the film arrive in UK&Irish cinemas and Total Film sat down with the film’s producer Avi Lerner who have revealed talks are already under way for the third film and they have some big big names they would like to the cast…..

“We’ve approached Clint Eastwood to be one of the guys, we’ve got a character in mind for him. We’re talking to Harrison Ford. [And we want] Wesley Snipes when he comes back from prison. I’ll give you one more name, we’ve got Nicolas Cage to play [one of the characters].”

“And we’re going to bring Mickey Rourke back, if he won’t be too crazy. I like Mickey. And of course, all the existing stars [will return]”

Wow! Now where can I buy my tickets and I haven’t seen film 2 yet?! If Lerner&Co gets the returning cast along with Eastwood, Ford, Cage, Snipes and Rourke it will be an incredible achievement  which they probably could take pre-bookings from day one of filming! Totalfilm themselves got that excited they dropped their Dictaphone and missed the actual character name for Nicholas Cage! In the post they did also go on about other possibilities for film 3 but as I said I haven’t seen the film so I wont spoil it for you guys either. One point was made  that director Simon West may not be back to direct but if we go with what we’ve read in the early reviews I’m sure Lionsgate will breakout the checque book to make sure he’ll be directing. If he does stay on and the potential cast happen especially with Cage it will be the third time the pair have worked together with the first time been Con Air and Stolen which will be out this year or 2013.

The legends are back and they’ll be back this Thursday August 16th with Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Chuck Norris, Randy Couture,Jean Claude Van Damme, Terry Crews, Liam Hemsworth, Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwarzenegger.
