Dune: Part Two Secures Second Official Film Chart Number One

May the knife chip and shatter as Dune: Part Two retains its reign over the Official Film Chart for a second consecutive week.
The sci-fi blockbuster, starring Timothee Chalamet, Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson and Javier Bardem, is the highest-grossing film of 2024 so far.
This week’s highest new entry comes from Bob Marley: One Love (2). The biopic tells the story of Jamaican reggae legend Marley, played by Kingsley Ben-Adir, chronicling his rise to fame from the mid-1970s until he died in 1981. The film, directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green, also stars Lashana Lynch as Rita Marley and James Norton as Chris Blackwell.
Aliens bags another brand-new entry this week (3). The James Cameron-directed sci-fi horror sequel to Alien, starring Sigourney Weaver as Ellen Ripley, the sole survivor of an alien attack on her ship, has been re-released on special edition DVD and 4K Blu-ray formats.
Our final new entry comes from Late Night With The Devil (8). The 2023 supernatural horror, starring the likes of David Dastmalchian, Laura Gordon, and Ian Bliss, sees a 1977 live television broadcast take an unexpected – and unexplained – turn on the evening of Halloween.
