Don’t Take The Bait Watch The First Trailer For Greta

Universal Pictures has released the first Trailer for Neil Jordan’s psychological Thriller Greta.

The film stars Chloë Grace Moretz as s, a young woman who befriends Greta (Isabelle Huppert), a lonely French piano teacher. Both suffered loss and as the pair grew closer together, s realizes her new companion is not at all what she seems.

The film made its world premiere at Toronto Film Festival and we’re really keen to see the latest feature from Jordan. We’re big fans of the Oscar-winning director (The Crying Game, Interview With A Vampire, Company Of Wolves) who is highly underrated in many quarters. This is also his first film since 2012’s Byzantium. Also its a rare treat to see Huppert in an English language film. Whilst the Toronto reviews were mixed, the majority of reviews highlighted the French actress, one of the best things about the film.

What we also like about this one, is the Misery (ala Stephen King) inspiration, what do you think?

A sweet, naïve young woman trying to make it on her own in New York City, s (Chloë Grace Moretz) doesn’t think twice about returning the handbag she finds on the subway to its rightful owner. That owner is Greta (Isabelle Huppert), an eccentric French piano teacher with a love for classical music and an aching loneliness. Having recently lost her mother, s quickly grows closer to widowed Greta. The two become fast friends — but Greta’s maternal charms begin to dissolve and grow increasingly disturbing as s discovers that nothing in Greta’s life is what it seems in this suspense thriller from Academy Award®-winning director Neil Jordan.

Moretz and Huppert are ed by co-stars Maika Monroe, Colm Feore, Stephen Rea. Neil Jordan directs a script he co-wrote with Ray Wright.

Greta will be in UK and Irish Cinemas from 19th April 2019.
