Personally I don’t how it feels to be a parent but been around friends or other people who are makes you regret the hard times you gave them when you where younger. As I say now, never criticise until you have experienced it yourself no matter how much you want to say something like Matt King whose wife is in a coma and finds out she’s been having a affair, Welcome to Matt’s World and Alexander Payne’s THE DESCENDANTS.

George Clooney is our unlikely hero who has to experience something he hasn’t experienced really before be a father to two teenage daughter’s something he has to learn quick sometimes the hard way. From Alexander Payne, the creator of the Oscar-winning SIDEWAYS, set in Hawaii, THE DESCENDANTS is a sometimes humorous, sometimes tragic journey for Matt King (George Clooney) an indifferent husband and father of two girls, who is forced to re-examine his past and embrace his future when his wife suffers a boating accident off of Waikiki. The event leads to a rapprochement with his young daughters while Matt wrestles with a decision to sell the family’s land handed down from Hawaiian royalty and missionaries.
