Deadpool & Wolverine holds back a brand-new entrant to claim a third week atop the Official Film Chart.

Racking up 63,000 pure digital sales in its third week, Deadpool & Wolverine continues its reign as the biggest film of the week in the UK, denying this week’s highest new entry, Alien: Romulus, a Number 1 debut. Also fending off those pesky Facehuggers!

Sci-Fi horror sequel Alien: Romulus lands straight in at Number 2 on digital s only. Set between the events of Alien (1979) and Aliens (1986), the film sees six young space colonists scavenging the deepest corners of a derelict space station as they come face to face with the most terrifying lifeform in the universe.

Meanwhile, disaster film Twisters spins up five places to Number 3 this week, finishing ahead of Despicable Me 4 at Number 4. Bad Boys: Ride Or Die lifts five to Number 5.

The Last Voyage of the Demeter drops three (6), finishing ahead of classic horror film A Nightmare on Elm Street (7) which earns a brand-new peak as it enters the Top 10 for the very first time. It’s been almost four years since its last appearance in the Official Film Chart, when it peaked at Number 29 in 2020.

Rounding out this week’s Top 10 is A Quiet Place: Day One, down six places (8), while the original 1996 film Twister flies back into the Top 10 (9), and psychological horror Longlegs drops one place (10).
