Dancing Shoes On For Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again First Trailer!

Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again

Since the 1970’s music fans have been thanking Swedish super pop icons Abba for ‘the music’. Ten years Mamma Mia! the musical based on the band’s classic song became an instant worldwide hit. In Summer of 2018, we will go back to the magical Greek island of Kalokairi for Mamma Mia!Here We Go Again.

The eagerly awaited sequel will be hoping to get you dancing in the aisles of your local cinema screens. But will it be the ‘Dancing Queen’ or ‘Dancing’ out the cinema home?

Universal Pictures will be hoping you dance, laugh in the cinema and today deliver us a little 2 minute plus early Christmas present…The first UK Teaser Trailer!

Some may argue why has it taken so long for this sequel to finally become a reality, especially how big an international hit the first movie was. £450 ($600) million was made at the box office worldwide, it also was bursting with Abba hit songs. What songs are left for this sequel? According to Benny Anderson there still a few left in the songbook, with the movie revisiting of few from the first outing.

So what will the sequel movie be all about? What is known possibly could be in the spoiler category, tread with caution if you don’t want to know.

From the trailer, the movie will span several generations, Sophie (Amanda Seyfried)looks to be pregnant. She is still unsure who is her ‘daddy’, Sam (Pierce Brosnan), Harry (Colin Firth), or Bill (Stellan Skarsgard). We also look back in Donna’s (Meryl Streep) life, we see her as a young woman (played by Lily James) what is she reflecting?

It’s this stage has gotten fans in a frenzy, has Donna died or dying? Donna’s best friend Rosie (Julie Walters says to Sophie “Your mother was the bravest person we ever met.” makes us suggest Donna has died. Let’s be honest next to the songs Streep is the star attraction and this will annoy hardcore fans. Even Donna’s uninvited Mum aka ‘Grandma’ played by Cher proves there’s magic in medical science when it comes to pregnancy!

Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again looks to share a similar tone even storyline to the first with Sophie now in Donna’s shoes. Like the first movie, this sequel won’t be winning much critical praise just people singing Abba classics for years to come.

Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again will be released in UK cinemas on 20th July 2018. Co-starring Dominic Cooper, Christine Baranski, Josh Dylan, Hugh Skinner, Jeremy Irvine, Alexa Davies, Jessica Keenan Wynn, Andy Garcia.
