It’s time to cheer on TEAM GB for the third time this year as STUDIOCANAL HOME ENTERTAINMENT are pleased to announce the DVD, Blu-ray & EST release of the feel good sports film of the summer – FAST GIRLS. From the team that brought you THE IRON LADY, THE HISTORY BOYS and KIDULTHOOD, FAST GIRLS is directed by Regan Hall and stars Noel Clarke, Lenora Crichlow, Lily James, Tiana Benjamin, Philip Davies and Bradley James and is out to own on October 8^th.

Tracking the roller coaster journey of the British female sprint relay team on their quest to the World Championships, it stars a trio of Britain’s hottest young stars: LENORA CRICHLOW (Being Human), LILY JAMES (Clash of the Titans 2; Downton Abbey) and BRADLEY JAMES (Merlin). Directed by award-winning young filmmaker REGAN HALL (3 Hours) and produced by DAMIAN JONES (The Iron Lady, Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll), FAST GIRLS is co-scripted by NOEL CLARKE (Adulthood, Kidulthood), JAY BASU and ROY WILLIAMS. CLARKE also heads the strong ing cast line-up of, LORRAINE BURROUGHS (Dr Who), BAFTA nominee PHIL DAVIS (Vera Drake), RUPERT GRAVES (V For Vendetta) and introducing newcomers LASHANA LYNCH, DOMINIQUE TIPPER and HANNAH FRANKSON.
Twenty-two year-old Shania (Lenora Crichlow) seems like a regular girl from a London council estate, but she possesses the raw talent as a sprinter that sets her apart from other girls. Thanks to her amateur coach Brian (Phil Davis), she qualifies for the World Championship and is asked to the relay team by coach Tommy Southern (Noel Clarke). Among her new teammates are heralded sprinter Trix (Lorraine Burroughs), mohawked Sarah (Dominique Tipper), man-crazy Belle (Lashana Lynch) and golden girl Lisa (Lily James). Also thrown into the volatile mix is Carl (Bradley James) their attractive team physiotherapist with whom Shania strike up an instant friendship.
Coming from two different worlds, Shania soon clashes with Lisa, whose father (Rupert Graves) star sprinter himself, and now a major player in the GB squad selection. As the FAST GIRLS strive to qualify for the World Championship, they battle through adversity and rivalry on their dramatic, heart-warming and inspirational journey.
