The worst monsters are the ones we create. Netflix has released the main Trailer for their epic Fantasy Series The Witcher, be with us next month. On first impressions are we looking at the series that will fill that Game Of Thrones void?

We’ve been teased for over a year now but now we’re only weeks away from the series launch. The series is on books by Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski which have been a popular video game for a while. Video game adaptations haven’t had a great record especially on the big screen, could that be changing soon?

Henry Cavill Geralt the monster hunter the books are based around. A character struggling to find his place in the world. His path of destiny brings him to a powerful sorceress and young princess, three tread the lands together.

If you are a fan of the games and books the new trailer does tease some iconic scenes, especially the bathtub scene. If it can deliver the same success as GoT, the world will be it’s oyster!

Henry Cavill (Mission Impossible – Fallout, Justice League) leads the cast of The Witcher saga, playing the role of Geralt of Rivia, alongside other main cast , Anya Chalotra (The ABC Murders, Wanderlust) as Yennefer and Freya Allan (The War of the Worlds, Into The Badlands) as Ciri. Other previously announced cast include Jodhi May (Game of Thrones, Genius) as Calanthe, Björn Hlynur Haraldsson (Fortitude) as Eist, Adam Levy (Knightfall, Snatch) as Mousesack, MyAnna Buring (Ripper Street, Kill List) as Tissaia, Mimi Ndiweni (Black Earth Rising) as Fringilla, Therica Wilson-Read (Profile) as Sabrina, and Emma Appleton (The End of The F**king World) as Renfri, Eamon Farren (The ABC Murders, Twin Peaks) as Cahir, Joey Batey (Knightfall, Strike) as Jaskier, Lars Mikkelsen (House of Cards, Sherlock) as Stregobor, Royce Pierreson (Wanderlust, Judy) as Istredd, Maciej Musiał (1983).
