Bridget Jones’s Baby New Featurette ‘Reintroduces Bridget’

We have to say when it comes to unexpected remakes or long awaited sequels 2016 has been no shock, so it’s was no shock when we learned Bridget Jones’s Baby was coming. The long awaited third film is a matter of just over 2 weeks away from it’s UK&Irish release date but we’ve waited 12 years for this film. Universal Pictures have realised this and have created this new featurette called ’Reintroducing Bridget’, to bring fans (and potential new ones) up to speed…
In this new promo Bridget Jones herself Renée Zellweger, Mr Darcy Colin Firth reminisce about the good old days, how they love been back in the old roles. Like anything you sometimes don’t realise how much you miss a role until you’ve been away from it for a long time. In between the chats we see snippets of new footage learning a little about the other franchise regulars and in Colin Firth‘s words on Mr Darcy ‘Stick Up his Bum again’. As well as the new character they are ed by Patrick Dempsey, the new kid on the block or as Bridget calls him ‘McDreamy’. Even Colin Firth calls him Mr Irresistible!Question is, whose The Daddy???!
Bridget Jones’s Baby is the next chapter of the beloved comedy series based on creator Helen Fielding’s heroine finds Bridget unexpectedly expecting. After breaking up with Mark Darcy (Firth), Bridget Jones’s (Zellweger) “happily ever after” hasn’t quite gone according to plan. Fortysomething and single again, she decides to focus on her job as top news producer and surround herself with old friends and new. For once, Bridget has everything completely under control. What could possibly go wrong? Then her love life takes a turn and Bridget meets a dashing American named Jack (Dempsey), the suitor who is everything Mr. Darcy is not.
