Breeding Gone Bad In First Thoroughbreds Trailer

THOROUGHBREDs

You always grow old to think you do your best to raise your kids in the best way possible to be polite, respectful of everyone. In the first UK Trailer for Thoroughbreds, you can’t breed good girls as breeding has gone bad in a dark coming of age comedy.

With the movie journeying through the Film Festival circuit and now at London Film Festival, what better time to release the first teaser. Starring Anya Tylor-Joy (The VVitch) and Olivia Cooke (Me and Earl and the Dying Girl)bored rich teenage girls on a path of destruction. A path that bonds them to take out and get rid of what plagues their lives.

Sad to think this is the last new movie Anton Yelchin ever made, after tragically losing his life earlier this year. Sometimes you don’t really appreciate the talent those people had until their gone and he had talent. Thoroughbreds made its premiere at Sundance Film Festival to some strongly positive reviews and London reviews seem to be following suit.It may be dark, sadistic flick but it seems to me it might just be a high note to say ‘farewell’ to.

Childhood friends Lily and Amanda reconnect in suburban Connecticut after years of growing apart. Lily has turned into a polished, upper-class teenager, with a fancy boarding school on her transcript and a coveted internship on her resume; Amanda has developed a sharp wit and her own particular attitude, but all in the process of becoming a social outcast.

Though they initially seem completely at odds, the pair bond over Lily’s contempt for her oppressive stepfather, Mark, and as their friendship grows, they begin to bring out one another’s most destructive tendencies. Their ambitions lead them to hire a local hustler, Tim, and take matters into their own hands to set their lives straight.

Thoroughbreds are set for a 9th March 2018 UK and Irish Cinema release date. The movie is directed by first-timer Rory Finley and co-stars Paul Sparks.
