Backpackers In Trouble In The Royal Hotel UK Trailer

The Australian Outback has given us many memorable thills and scares over the years. Today Universal Pictures give us another one, Kitty Green‘s thriller The Royal Hotel with the UK Trailer.
Things aren’t looking good for Julia Garner nor Jessica Henwick best friends who find themselves in trouble in the Outback.
This is Green’s second directorial feature with The Assistant back in 2019. That film also starred Garner as a junior assistant at a film production company. She suffers harassment and abuse from her boss (played by Matthew McFadyen), the new film shares similar themes, with the abuse of power between men and women.
We follow good friends Hanna and Liv heading out to Australia for a backpacking adventure. When money runs out the pair take a in house living job at The Royal Hotel in a small Outback town. All thanks to the owner they quickly learn all about the drinking culture that sees then trapped in a situation spiralling out of control.
The reviews from the film festivals have been strong including the recent BFI London Film Festival UK Premiere. Looks a interesting thriller that teases what the girls have to face working on the job.
