Avengers: Doomsday And Secret Wars Delayed

In an announcement from Marvel Studios (via ComingSoon), both Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars have been pushed back from their original release dates.
Doomsday will now release on December 18, 2026, and Secret Wars will come out one year later on December 17, 2027. These new dates delay both movies by roughly seven months. Doomsday was originally supposed to release on May 1, 2026, while Secret Wars was scheduled to release on May 7, 2027. This news comes after it was revealed that production on Doomsday had begun in London.
So far, Doomsday appears to have a stacked cast at its disposal, including Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom, Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Anthony Mackie as Captain America, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes, Letitia Wright as Shuri, Paul Rudd as Ant-Man and Tom Hiddleston as Loki.
The movie will also feature other MCU actors such as Florence Pugh, Wyatt Russell, Tenoch Huerta, Joseph Quinn, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Simu Liu, Lewis Pullman, Danny Ramirez, David Harbour, Winston Duke, and Hannah John-Kamen. Word is that many others – potentially Tom Holland, Brie Larson, Benedict Cumberbatch and more – will soon be announced as part of the cast.
Doomsday is set to include actors who will reprise their roles from the previous X-Men movies. Patrick Stewart’s Charles Xavier, Ian McKellen‘s Magneto, Alan Cumming‘s Nightcrawler, Rebecca Romijn‘s Mystique, James Marsden‘s Cyclops, Channing Tatum‘s Gambit and Kelsey Grammer’s Beast have all been announced for the movie.
Avengers: Doomsday and Secret Wars are being directed by the Russo Brothers, with both movies being filmed back to back, similarly to how Infinity War and Endgame were handled.
