Apple Unveil Trailer For Mini-Series Five Days at Memorial

What would you do if everything failed? Apple TV+ have unveiled the first trailer for drama mini-series, Five Days At Memorial based on the events Hurricane Katrina starring Vera Farmiga.
The eight-episode limited series created by Academy Award winner John Ridley and Emmy Award winner Carlton Cuse. Ridley and Cuse also direct episode along with Wendey Stanzler all based on a book by Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Sheri Fink. The mini-series chronicles the impact of Hurricane Katrina and effect on the local New Orleans hospital Memorial Centre.
This is not the first film or drama based on the disaster, what is different this time it’s how effected the emergency services. This trailer does highlight the stress, the pressure the staff found themselves in. Don’t expect an easy time watching this.
Based on actual events and adapted from the book by Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Sheri Fink, “Five Days at Memorial” chronicles the impact of Hurricane Katrina and its aftermath on a local hospital. When the floodwaters rose, power failed and heat soared, exhausted caregivers at a New Orleans hospital were forced to make decisions that would follow them for years to come.
The cast also includes Cherry Jones, Robert Pine, Cornelius Smith Jr., Julie Ann Emery, and Adepero Oduye.
Five Days at Memorial will premiere globally on Apple TV+ with the first three episodes on Friday, 12th August, followed by new episodes weekly every Friday through to 16th September.
