Andrew Scott Is A Hard Man To Find In Netflix’s Ripley Trailer

Andrew Scott is quickly become one of Ireland’s hottest prospects. This Friday he will shine in the UK release of All Of Us Are Strangers. In April he’ll be a hard man to find in Ripley, Watch the first Trailer.
Netflix tease us today with the first promo delving into their limited series. All based on Patricia Highsmith’s bestselling Tom Ripley novels and particular The Talented Mr Ripley.
Fans will always know Scott as the Hunky priest on Fleabag, and Sherlock. Steve Zaillian writes and directs (Schindler’s List, The Irishman) with Scott as Tom Ripley. Dakota Fanning as Marge Sherwood. Johnny Flynn as Dickie Greenleaf roles played by Gwyneth Paltrow, Jude Law (Matt Damon as Ripley)in the 1999 film.
This eight part series takes us into the early 1960’s and Tom Ripley is hired by a wealthy man. His task is to head to Italy and try convince his son Dickie to return to New York. What starts as friendship, Tom becomes increasingly annoyed by Dickie, things turn dark and deceitful.
This is a psychological Noir crime thriller at the highest level. Anthony Minghella’s film is fantastic and deserves more credit, very dark and digs into obsession, murder. This has plenty of style and gorgeous cinematography from Robert Elswit, sign us up!
Tom Ripley (Andrew Scott), a grifter scraping by in early 1960s New York, is hired by a wealthy man to travel to Italy to try to convince his vagabond son to return home. Tom’s acceptance of the job is the first step into a complex life of deceit, fraud and murder. The drama is based on Patricia Highsmith’s bestselling Tom Ripley novels.
The series also stars Elliot Sumner, Maurizio Lombardi, Margherita Buy, with John Malkovich. Ripley new eight-episode series will launch on Netflix from 4th April.
