Alfonso Cuarón’s Apple TV Series Disclaimer Gets A Release Date

It’s been a few years since we’ve seen Cate Blanchett star in a TV or streaming series. This coming October she is set to star in Alfonso Cuarón‘s Disclaimer.
It is also 10 years since the Gravity / Children Of Men director has worked on any show (last one Believe). On 11th October, his psychological thriller seven-episode limited series will make its global debut on Friday, 11th October.
Based on the best-selling novel by Renée Knight, the series also stars Sacha Baron Cohen, Lesley Manville, Kodi Smit- Mhee, Louis Partridge, Leila George and Hoyeon.
Here’s the official synopsis:
Disclaimer is a gripping psychological thriller in seven chapters, starring Academy Award winners Cate Blanchett and Kevin Kline. Written and directed by five-time Academy Award winner Alfonso Cuarón, “Disclaimer” is based on the best-selling novel of the same name by Renée Knight. Acclaimed journalist Catherine Ravenscroft (Blanchett) built her reputation revealing the misdeeds and transgressions of others. When she receives a novel from an unknown author, she is horrified to realize she is now the main character in a story that exposes her darkest secrets.
As Catherine races to uncover the writer’s true identity, she is forced to confront her past before it destroys both her own life and her relationships with her husband Robert (Sacha Baron Cohen) and their son Nicholas (Kodi Smit-Mhee). The ensemble cast includes Lesley Manville, Louis Partridge, Leila George and Hoyeon.
Apple TV also sent us, a first look image (above main post image), which Blanchett as Catherine, who have gotten unexpected news. Who is this author? Are they one of the aforementioned cast or is Catherine the unknown author?
Disclaimer will make its global debut on Friday, 11th October with the first two episodes, followed by new episodes every Friday through 15th November.
