Aladdin Second Trailer Teases Classic Songs And Will Smith Is More Than Blue

Aladdin (Mena Massoud) meets the larger-than-life blue Genie (Will Smith) in Disney’s live-action adaptation ALADDIN, directed by Guy Ritchie.

Next month Disney Studios releases the next chapter of their live action adaption of their Animation library with Dumbo. Many fans of the classic animations will be eagerly awaiting The Lion King and Aladdin.

Today we get another glimpse into that ‘Whole New World’ again with the second Trailer. The new promo that teases those classic songs and Will Smith who more than just blue. He’s blue, sometimes he’s not, what he is is a rapping genie.

Visually, it’s everything you expect from a Disney Studio film, colourful, vibrant. The visual effects however look a bit questionable, but don’t laugh when you see Will Smith. Last month We got our first glimpse at Smith as the Blue Genie and reception was not good, if anything laughable. He became the butt of many jokes and memes, now we have this things look better.

For some reason people are not warming to Aladdin as much as Disney’s other live-action flicks. May be this is one film we should judge when it’s out…

Aladdin is the exciting tale of the charming street rat Aladdin, the courageous and self-determined Princess Jasmine and the Genie who may be the key to their future. Directed by Guy Ritchie, who brings his singular flair for fast-paced, visceral action to the fictitious port city of Agrabah, the film is written by John August and Ritchie based on Disney’s Aladdin.

The film also stars Mena Massoud as the charming scoundrel Aladdin; Naomi Scott as Jasmine, the beautiful, self-determined princess; Marwan Kenzari as Jafar, the powerful sorcerer; Navid Negahban as the Sultan concerned with his daughter’s future; Nasim Pedrad as Dalia, Princess Jasmine’s free-spirited best friend and confidante; Billy Magnussen as the handsome and arrogant suitor Prince Anders; and Numan Acar as Hakim, Jafar’s right-hand man and captain of the palace guards.
