A Beautiful Second A Dangerous Method Trailer Appears

Tomorrow is another as well as another month of September and too many the end of British summer (officially end of October) though been from Scotland our Summers never start! Autumn has virtually arrived winter is near and now thoughts in movieland are starting to focusing on awards especially Oscars which maybe still a few months away but will creep upon us in a blink of an eye. Essentially this is the period the best movies will appear, but the past few months we’ve been hearing about the exciting movies we can expect during this period but here in UK&Ireland we know some of those will arrive with us early 2012 and one of those is David Croneberg’s A Dangerous Method.

Written and adapted from his own Play Talking Cure (the movies original name) by Christopher Hampton starring Viggo Mortensen, Michael Fassbender, Keira Knightley, Vincent Cassel and Sarah Gadon. The movie is based on the on a story of 2 of the world’s so called greatest minds Sigmund Freud(Mortensen) and Carl Jung(Fassbender) and a love triangle that the 2 men were allegedly involved in with a female patient Sabrina (Knightley). The true story is the bitter rivalry between 2 men once friends which is destroyed by the love triangle but its also the birth of psychoanalysis.

If you can back the first trailer was a little bit on the kinky side however the new trailer is alot more viewing friendly less whipping more beauty, absolutely stunning movie that looks backed up by some fine performances. The best thing of all the movie marks the return to the big screen for Cronenberg but one little amazing fact not one of the filmmakers movies have actually been nominated for best picture despite them including some performances that have merited Oscar worthy! A Dangerous Method has a long journey before it reaches the shores of UK&Ireland, first up will be Venice then Toronto there is also the small matter of Telluride and New York, then its released theatrically in USA on November 23rd before reaching the UK on February 10th 2012 however there is a little rumbling going on this movie possibly could be appearing at London Film Festival in October, if it does it will be confirmed next week.
